The Southern Area Concert Band is a 40-piece concert band comprising of woodwind, brass and percussion. This ensemble is a competing band and has won many awards over its almost 40 year history. Currently under the baton of Mr. Darryn Wright, the concert band provides music for a variety of community events each year including public outdoor performances, private performances and community events.
Although we are a non-auditioning band, the minimum expected musical ability of our players in our main band is AMEB grade 4.
