The Southern Area Events Band is our "special events" band which is created on an "as required" basis for events when the main concert band is not appropriate or too large. Led by Darryn Wright, this ensemble provides music and entertainment for a variety of events such as citizenship ceremonies and Christmas Carol performances at retirement villages etc. around Melbourne. Membership of this ensemble is made up of members of the Southern Area Concert Band.
